Country Garden
Tarrant Valley, North Dorset
Immaculately refurbished, this traditional home was ready for a planting concept equal to the grandeur of its buildings and landscape.
Deep, indulgent borders – with exuberant, billowing planting – emphasise the elegance of the Georgian façade. Around the pool, planting not only brings colour and texture to the hard landscape, but also provides some shelter from the wind to create a relaxing outdoor space for entertaining.
The palette of the wider landscape is reflected in the choices of flower, shrub and tree for a seamless rhythm of views across the gardens and beyond. The hot tub borders, with the cosy brick tones of the boundary wall as a backdrop, accommodate traditional planting: roses, herbaceous perennials and ornamental shrubs.
